Ennio Morricone, the maestro of Italian cinema, has been a driving force in shaping the country's rich musical heritage. With numerous Oscar nominations and accolades under his belt, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 and Best Original Score for "The Hateful Eight" in 2016, Morricone's contributions to film music are undeniable.

From August 4th to August 31st, Guangzhou, Foshan, and Shenzhen will come together to host an Ennio Morricone-themed film music exhibition. This spectacular event will feature screenings of iconic films such as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," "Once Upon a Time in the West," and "Cinema Paradiso," all accompanied by Morricone's legendary scores.

During this period from 1964 to 1984, Sergio Leone directed two epic trilogies - "Dollars Trilogy" (A Fistful of Dollars / For a Few Dollars More / The Good, The Bad & The Ugly) and "Man with No Name Trilogy" (Once Upon a Time in America / Once Upon a Time in Italy / Once Upon a Time at Midnight). These masterpieces showcased not only Leone's skill as a director but also Morricone's unparalleled talent as an orchestral composer. Other timeless classics like Cinema Paradiso (De Sica), Malèna (Tornatore), La Luna (Pirès), Ombre Rosse (Lizzani) have benefited greatly from his work too.
